SLEEK EDITIONS I SOLANGE SMITH

As a tool to understand life, artist Solange Smith started to paint. When fully immersed into a painting, Solange describes the act as losing herself completely but to the truest form of reality. As she tells her life story through paintings, she is leaving a piece of herself behind on the canvas. Everything is part of the process of relearning to be vulnerable again.

L’enfant is part of her exhibition I AM THE BAD THAT MADE ME in which Solange chose the message of love over hate. With time, Solange has learnt that you can fight darkness with kindness. Healing her scars through paintings and writing, her poem for the exhibition spreads the message with the verse “I am the love I always wish I could have had”.
